Grammy winning producer/songwriter Donald Lawrence’s latest discovery, The Murrills, is making big strides in music. The six-member, all-sibling group from Wilmington but half living in Charlotte, NC, has been singing, playing, recording and performing together since their youth. Now, all of their labor has paid off with their debut CD Family Prayer(Quiet Water/ Zomba Gospel) earning both Grammy and Stellar award nominations.
The CD was nominated alongside Kirk Franklin and others in the Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album category for the Grammies. In the Stellar Awards they were nominated as New Artist of the Year and Recorded Music Packaging of the Year.
