Lexi - Just Listen - 2018

Lexi Allen nominated for the Stellar Prize which is also known for its close association with the Word Network. Born Alexis Marie Nucklos in Columbus, Ohio, she was raised near the northern border of her home state in Toledo, and began singing as a young man in her grandfather's church. When she enrolled at Bowling Green State, she recorded a demo and took Interstate 75 to Detroit, where she approached Michael Brooks. Brooks recognized Nucklos as a singer who once opened for his group, commissioned. This resulted in the album produced by Brooks Call Her Lexi (1990), who skillfully applied commercial R & B production styles with lyrics by Gerald Levert, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Fred Hammond.

Her husband Michael Allen is her main creative partner, but now known as Lexi Allen - signed with the Real Deal label of Evander Holyfield. Real Deal was the outlet for ... And so it is (2000), his first release to register on the Billboard chart of the Billboard, and Somewhere Different (2001). A Praise in the Valley (2005), issued through the Holy Music Holy Music venture, was the last project Lexi and Michael Allen worked on before the latter's cancer death. The live recording was nominated for a Stellar Prize. Studio sessions were less and more in between once Allen established a long-term affiliation with the Network Word as a host and presenter. She released her fifth album, What Heaven Hears (2007), for SugarWater, then linked to Malaco for Phenomenal (2012). When she signed a contract with Motown Gospel and released the single "In the Room" (2018), Allen created social media with videos uploaded to YouTube, such as the episodic series of Enforcers of the Holy Spirit and Ghetto Bewitched, as well as other clips humorous
