Jamie Grace - 91 - 2017

Atlanta, Georgia's Jamie Grace, a Christian singer, songwriter, rapper, multi-instrumentalist (guitar, piano, ukulele, drums), and occasional actress, was born November 25, 1991. While she always had an affinity for music as she was growing up, she turned to it in earnest when she was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome in 2003 at age 11. Mixing folk, country, hip-hop, and reggae into a sunny, hopeful style somewhat reminiscent of a CCM version of Colbie Caillat, Grace began posting versions of her doing cover songs and originals on YouTube. She was discovered there by tobyMac, who signed her to his Gotee record label in 2009 when she was 19 years old.

Hold Me A debut single and EP, both entitled Hold Me, appeared early in 2011, and a full-length album, One Song at a Time, arrived later that same year. She also released a second EP, Christmas Together, in 2011. By 2014 Grace had readied her second full album, Ready to Fly, produced by Chuck Butler, David Garcia, and Christopher Stevens. Receiving strong reviews, it became her first album to peak inside the Top 40 of the album charts. Grace released a holiday album called The Christmas Collection in 2016, then issued the studio set '91 in 2017.

Geoffrey Golden - Kingdom...Live! - 2015

Geoffrey Golden is a contemporary gospel artist from Cleveland, Ohio whose audience grew significantly after he won the seventh season of BET's Sunday Best gospel singing competition. The son of a pastor, he set out on his path by serving at his father's church, Glenville Church of Christ. Additionally, he has established Cleveland Worship Weekend, co-founded a ministry at Morehouse College, and has worked with Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A. as the national congress coordinator of praise & worship. As a recording artist, his discography includes the self-released EP Amazing God (2014) and the ebullient post-Sunday Best album Kingdom...Live! (2015), the latter of which came out through RCA's gospel-oriented Fo Yo Soul label.

An urban Black gospel band with crossover appeal, Commissioned are an extremely evangelistic group in concert who put on such a dramatic show that the altars are routinely packed with repenters following their performances. Members Fred Hammond, Keith Staten, Michael Brooks and Marvin Sapp have all done many successful solo projects as well. They spent most of the '90s pursuing those careers, but found themselves back together in 2001 for a reunion tour and the first of another successful series of albums.

Charles Jenkins - Think About These Things - 2016

After mentoring with Rev. Clay Evans, founder of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, senior pastor, faith leader, songwriter, producer, and all-round entrepreneur Rev. Charles Jenkins took over the reins of the mission's choir, Fellowship Chicago, and released the blockbuster gospel album The Best of Both Worlds in 2012, led by the infectious single "Awesome," which entered the gospel singles chart at the number one spot that same year, and has since become a staple of the modern praise & worship genre. Respecting the gospel tradition but also working to update it by gently merging it with 21st century urban recording techniques and trends, Jenkins hit a spiritual and commercially successful sweet spot. Hailing from Stockton, California, contemporary gospel singer Danetra Moore was born into a religious and musical family, and began singing in choirs and recording professionally by age ten. Amidst several years of finding work backing the likes of Kirk Franklin, Vicki Winans, Brian Wilson, Trace Adkins, Ne-Yo, Ledisi, and many more, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. After spending some fruitful years in the background, songwriter, arranger, and background vocalist Anthony Brown stepped forward in 2012 with Anthony Brown & group therAPy. The strange capitalization refers to the group's beginnings in 2000, when the Maryland native launched the group Answered Prayers to showcase his songwriting. As Brown's work played a role in hit gospel albums like Maurette Brown-Clark's The Dream (2007) and Stephen A. Hurd's Times of Refreshing (2009), Answered Prayers evolved into group therAPy. Performances on three of BET's annual Celebration of Gospel specials -- in 2006, 2007, and 2012 -- preceded their self-titled 2012 debut. Released by Tyscot Records, the album featured guest appearances from Maurette Brown Clark and VaShawn Mitchell. In 2015 they returned with Everyday Jesus. It topped Billboard's gospel albums chart, while the single "Worth" reached the top of the gospel songs chart. A Long Way from Sunday followed in 2017 and became Brown and the group's second number one full-length.

Em 1999, Brown deixou Trin-i-tee 5: 7 e foi substituído por Adrian Anderson, que tinha sido o maquiador do grupo. A nova formação de Taylor / Haynes / Anderson foi revelada em Spiritual Love, de 1999, que foi o segundo álbum do grupo e também saiu na B-Rite; mais uma vez, Kelly estava entre os produtores.
